What is Her Story Unveiled?

Her Story Unveiled is a non-profit founded to share remarkable stories of women from a plethora of diverse backgrounds. As their primary photographer and videographer I both created images to accompany their articles and videos that they posted to Instagram to promote their articles.

Mini-Documentary Series

To help publicize Her Story Unveiled I pitched and produced a series of "mini-documentary" style content to highlight each of HSU's individual stories. These were a mix of personal interviews and engaging b-roll that were a departure from the traditional, fast-paced content on Instagram.

Each post averaged over 150 likes with the top performing post reaching 2,500 views and 580 likes.

Photojournalism

To accompany the articles that members of HSU wrote I took a series of photos to serve as both the cover images and to be inserted throughout the article. The photos were taken in a more candid/documentary style to let the personalities of each of the subjects shine through.
